(I) Lecturer

Applicants should have (i) a relevant higher degree (at least at MPhil level); and (ii) a proven track record in teaching statistics or closely related areas.

The appointee will (i) teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the areas of statistics  and  risk management; and (ii)  assist in the administration of the Department.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to two years commencing August 2019, renewable subject to performance and mutual agreement.

(II) Visiting Scholar / Postdoctoral Fellow

Applications and nominations are invited for captioned visiting positions in the Department of Statistics at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

The appointee will be involved in research projects with our Faculty members and teaching our undergraduate or postgraduate students. The Visiting Scholar targets researcher on sabbatical leave with a high quality research output and a good teaching track record. A Ph.D. in statistics or a related field is required.

Appointment will be made on contract basis for one semester up to maximum two semesters (Visiting Scholar); and one year up to maximum two years if the funding is available (Postdoctoral Fellow).
