ChatGPT, a cutting-edge language generation tool, has been trained on a massive corpus of text data, making it capable of producing human-like text in response to a diverse range of prompts. Although ChatGPT is commonly used for general tasks such as drafting emails, its potential for assisting with research tasks such as topic understanding, project development, and paper writing is significant. In this seminar, we will explore the capabilities and limitations of ChatGPT in research and provide insights into how researchers can effectively leverage this tool to maximise its potential. We will share how ChatGPT can assist researchers approach their work.
